Battery
Volts on the label are the material fact. Miles are not, unless the maker printed miles and we are only reading them aloud.
A battery that does not lock is not a small detail. Seat it in the store. If it wobbles, do not buy that unit.
Chargers are part of the material. Use the one in the box. A random laptop brick is how packs get hurt.
Tires and brakes
Tire size is printed on the sidewall. Fat tires and skinny tires are different materials and different rides. Look at shop e-bikes and then look at the tire.
Brake pads are a wear item. New, they should grab. We check that at handoff. They will not last forever in the rain.
We do not sell “military grade” as a material. If a listing uses fluff, the sticker still wins.
What we will not claim
We will not claim a carbon frame, a torque sensor, or a watt-hour size that is not on the bike. Phone repair has taught us that invented specs become angry customers.
Materials for an iPhone screen are a different article. Do not mix glass grades with bicycle tires.
