How to spec an Android repair is naming the panel, the cell, or the port.
Four different jobs get four different quotes. Here is how we tell them apart before we open the phone.
How to spec an Android repair is to separate glass, battery, and charging port before you approve a price. We do that free at seven Lehigh Valley stores. Walk in 10 AM to 8 PM. The quote names the part we will fit.
Written by the technicians at Quick Cell Repairs. This is how we handle this job at our seven Lehigh Valley stores — not a generic web article.
How to spec an Android repair is the same counter habit since 2015. Seven stores open 10 AM to 8 PM. We check the picture, the touch, and the charge on your cable. A cracked panel, a dead cell, and a broken port are separate quotes. Premium glass is 45 days. Aftermarket is shorter and written down. In-stock work is usually 30 to 60 minutes. Emmaus takes 10% off qualifying repairs. Diagnosis is free. Call 484-268-9337 with the model number. The repair policy holds the warranty. We do not repair phones by mail. Seven stores stay open from 10 AM to 8 PM every day, and Emmaus is the only counter with 10 percent off qualifying phone repairs. Glass versus a dead display
A crack with a normal picture is usually the panel glass. Lines, ink blots, or dead touch mean the display stack. We say which one before we order the part in your head.
We will not sell you both unless both are failed. If you want both, you will see both lines.
Face ID and cameras get a look at the same time on an iPhone. On Android we test the fingerprint or face unlock that the model has.
Battery versus the charging port
A phone that dies by noon and then jumps when you plug it in is often the cell. A phone that only charges at an angle is often the port. Sometimes it is the cable.
Bring the cable you actually use. How to spec the job includes the accessory, not only the phone.
A swollen Android battery is a same-day walk-in. Do not press the back glass down and hope. We will not quote that as a simple screen.
What to bring
The phone, a charger if you have one, and the passcode. We need one unlock after the repair to test. You can stay for that.
Know the model. It is in Settings, or on the back, or on the box. Guessing the model is how the wrong glass gets discussed.
If the spec ends in “buy another phone,” shop Android phones is the case we are comparing against. We will say so out loud.
Spec the other brand
iPhone glass and Face ID are not this spec. Use how to spec an iPhone repair.
Seven counters, one rule
Emmaus, Breinigsville, Fogelsville, Walnutport, Bath, Nazareth, and Bangor are open 10 AM to 8 PM every day. You do not need an appointment. Book on the homepage only when you want a time held. Call 484-268-9337 if the drive is long and you want the shelf checked first.
Diagnosis on a phone is free. The quote is written before we take a screw out, and the bike price is the tag in the store. You can say no. Premium and OEM phone glass is 45 days. Aftermarket phone glass is shorter, and that window is on the quote. Emmaus takes 10 percent off qualifying phone repairs. The other six stores do not.
A phone repair and a bike you buy are different receipts. The repair policy covers the repair. The device sales policy covers the sale. Bring the ticket back to the same store. Most in-stock phone jobs finish in 30 to 60 minutes. Bikes are large, so call ahead and ask which store has the unit before you drive across the valley.
