Then the TV input
A TV set to HDMI 2 while the console is plugged into HDMI 3 shows exactly the same no-signal message as a dead console. So does a TV that reset its inputs after a firmware update or a power cut.
Cycle through every HDMI input on the TV with the console switched on. Then plug the console into a different HDMI port on the TV, because TV ports fail too and people blame the console.
If you have a second TV or a monitor with HDMI, test on that. A console that works on one screen and not another has told you the answer.
Then the port on the console
If the cable is good, the TV input is right, and another screen shows the same nothing, the port on the console becomes the suspect. Look into it with a light. A port with a bent or pushed-in pin, or one that only works when the cable is held at an angle, has taken physical damage.
