Quickcell Repairs

iPhone won't charge? We find whether it is the port, the cable, or the battery.

Lint in Lightning, a tired USB-C port on iPhone 15, or a dead cell can all look the same. We test before we sell you a part.

An iPhone that will not charge is not always a new phone. It is often lint, a worn cable, a tired port, or a dying cell. We diagnose iPhone won't charge problems at all seven Lehigh Valley stores. Walk in. We quote before we start. Most port jobs finish the same visit when the part is in stock.

Written by the technicians at Quick Cell Repairs. This is how we handle this job at our seven Lehigh Valley stores — not a generic web article.

We see iPhone charging failures every week across seven stores, 10 AM to 8 PM. iPhone 14 and older use Lightning. iPhone 15 and newer use USB-C. Those are different ports and different debris. Since 2015 we have cleaned, repaired, and replaced both. Diagnosis is free. We try a known-good cable first. We look in the port. We test the cell. Only then do we quote a charging-port repair. Emmaus takes 10% off qualifying repairs. We will not list a price here because a Lightning dock is not a USB-C dock. When the part is in stock, many port replacements still land in 30 to 60 minutes. Some boards need more time. We say that before we solder. Bring the cable that fails. A bad lead is the cheapest fix we ever give, and we would rather prove that on the bench than guess.

Port, cable, or battery

Try a second cable and a wall brick you trust. Car ports lie. If nothing changes, stop forcing the plug. You can fold the pins. Pocket lint in Lightning is still the most common iPhone won't charge story we get. USB-C on newer iPhones packs lint too. It just hides better.

Wireless charging that works while the cable fails points at the port, not the cell. A phone that dies at 20 percent and also refuses the cable may be both. We test in that order so you do not buy a port when you needed an iPhone battery replacement.

Liquid in the port will throw warnings. Do not blow it with a hot hair dryer. Bring it in. We would rather dry and inspect than replace a board you cooked.

What we actually repair

Cleaning is first when the pins are still straight. If the dock is worn or the phone only charges at a sharp angle, the port is tired. We replace that assembly. We do not sell you a new iPhone for a dock.

If the board trace is burned, that is a bigger job. We tell you. Sometimes the honest path is a shop iPhone. We would rather you hear that than pay for a port that will not hold.

MagSafe and wireless pads are extra tests, not extra upsells. If wireless works and wired does not, we stay on the port. If both fail, we look at the cell and the board together.

Walk in with the cables you use

Bring the iPhone and the cable that fails. We compare it to a known-good lead on the bench. Stores: Emmaus, Breinigsville, Fogelsville, Walnutport, Bath, Nazareth, Bangor. 10 AM to 8 PM every day.

Quote is before we open. In-stock docks are often 30 to 60 minutes. After the repair we plug your cable and ours. You should see a charge without holding the plug in a lucky angle.

Warranty is the window on the ticket. Repair policy is the written version. New liquid in the port after pickup is not warranty.

Android charging is a different port

Galaxy and Pixel USB-C wear, fast-charge bricks, and wireless pads are covered in Android will not charge. This page stays on iPhone Lightning and iPhone USB-C.

Same problem, other phone

The Android version of this guide

Fast-charge bricks, lint in USB-C, and tired Galaxy cells all look like “it won’t charge.” We test the cable you actually use.
